To be fair I've had no real problems with it. although it leaks around the wind screen and the side door it starts every time has the 2.l ford petrol engine and lpg. just can't get this to work. but it earns its keep and has lots of space.

My wife thinks I've got too many as I'm the only driver. Besides the elite estate I have a 98 V8 Discovery, Ldv 400 (to earn a living) 96 Golf 2.0l cabby, Jag XJS 5.3 (needs tlc. open to offers) 89 Honda Vfr 750, a 94 Suzuki Gsx 750f, & a twin engined gokart. Oh and the collection of bits I'm trying to assemble as a project to use for track fun.

I love my disco been great in this weather, it's a 300tdi 3.9 V8, head gasket presently blowing  sunroof leaks wing mirror knocked off got a vibration at about 65 would I swap it NO unless its a 110 csw.

Ford & LDV had a factory fit Kit, Pumped injection system no vapouriser mines not working, very little info available on the system.

I think it's quite different, if the paint work is as good as it looks then in close up it could be stunning, better than some chav mobiles. Have put it in my watch to see what he gets.

I've got a toroidal tank in my spare wheel well as its an estate, carry the spare wheel most of the time when I don't need all of the boot. I only get about 150 miles from the tank. My disco has a cylinder and torpedo tanks  but it takes up too much boot space the torpedos only give a range of about ninety miles without the main tank.

My biggest annoyance is availability, I have to drive about 10 miles to fill up, The motorway service stations aren't compelled to sell it. I had a local car sales than sold it till the council revoked their licence as you could only drive onto the pump from one direction (ie drive to it, reverse away) how petty.

Cannot understand fitting the ford lump in place of an omega engine. the v6 isn't that big once all the intake is removed.

I've got a similiar problem with my elite they want over £600 this year, last year same car same details sub £400. I can insure for £135 less if I lived 15 miles up the road. :
