Daytime running lights fuse
« on: 12 May 2010, 22:11:21 »

Do any of the technical gurus know if I wire a set of DRL's to this fuse location (No.8) if it would work? i.e. Lights on during day then switch off when you put on the headlights.

I think there is a proper day light running setup for these cars, isn't there ?

Suspect it needs a module somewhere though...

Thanks for the replies, so I couldn't connect to this fuse without the module and some reprogramming?

Is that present on all cars and only connected up at the factory for the Swedish market and suchlike?
If so, where is it, please?

Aah - you have me at a disadvantage, Lord Bullock.
What is this "Haynes" which you speaketh of? ;D

I purposely haven't got one for the Omega.
IIRC, they don't do one for the facelift or the V6 - and as soon as I do buy one for a car, said car likes to test it out.....neither Honda had one and neither Honda went wrong - ever!!! :y

They don't do a specific facelift manual, but a lot of it relates to both cars, V6 included  ;) what's not in Haynes is easily obtained here.  :y  :y  :y

Does this apply to the newer mig's?

I had a quick look in the fuse box but not much information on the lid.

Why don't you just use an ignition or alternator feed to supply your daytime running lights? FAr easier than trying to wire up as Vauxhall/Opel did for Sweden/etc

Why not simply wire a relay into the side light circuit at the lights pick up an igniton feed for the drl's fuse to suit and have the side light supply switch of the supply via the relay.

You only need the drl relais (GM 13101741) and a 10a fuse on 8,no reprogramming is needed.
If you want your license plate lights on also you need to put out the square block out of your fuse box(The one with the wire in it)
Reposition nr 5 to nr 2 and put the block back into the fuse box.
Done.... :y
