Currently going through a similar scenario myself.   My probs started the same way with interior light staying on, irrespective of door open or closed or headlamp switch in/out. Battery would go flat and not hold a charge then when on a run, got disco dash lights and dead Rev counter/speedo when driving. And drivers electric seat failed (passenger side still works though).

Looks like a combination of knacked battery and equally knacked alternator.

Weather permitting, will resolve at the weekend.  :)
