If it helps, BMW will not extend their Mondial warranty beyong 100k and prices usually shoot up around the 75k mark. Probably representative of what can and will go wrong with these cars.

Most important optional extra is indicators,dont be fooled into thinking they are standard equipment because the car looks like it has them fitted  ;D ;D

Mate of mine had some massive bills on his. ABS module related, IIRC. One of those faults that apparently happens to every car eventually, and, if it were from a manufacturer with any concept of after sales service, it would be replaced under warranty instead of in exchange for £1500+. ::)

.....and they do have a hint of 'hairdressers car' about them. ;)

I believe that Sir Tigger is a big fan of the Z4. ::) ::) ::) :P

Old ones look very dated now. The new ones are very attractive...if, as Opti says, you lean in a certain direction. :-*

No it was the Z3 I liked the look of, as at the time it was kinda different from the others on the market, even if it was just a 318 in different clothes.  ;)  :y

My brother has owned four or five BMW.  They have been far from reliable and extremely expensive to fix when they inevitably go wrong. Yet still he persists in buying into the myth of flawless/faultless german engineering. :-\
