One of these might help

Thanks John but that's not an upgrade for all, only for those who have very old equipment and have been invited by VM to upgrade for free. I've asked VM for a SH3 and they wanted more cash.... Told them to poke it !

After a bit more rummaging around the Internet, I might have to buy a better router and attach it to my current VM one.

47Mbps is not unreasonable off wifi. Better than I can achieve off my top end 1200Mbps stuff, due to the hostile area I'm in

I agree, I just don't understand why my iPad doesn't freeze on this hotel's slow wifi but is so frustratingly clonky on my VM 47Mbps wifi, I want to throw it out the window. I just don't get it ?

Currently staying in a hotel and my iPad is running much, much quicker than it does at home.

Speed test shows 2mbps in hotel whereas at home I have 70mbps which Speed test shows being delivered at 47mbps over wifi. I was considering changing my iPad2 for a newer, faster version but it may be the wifi delivery from my Virgin Media Superhub2 that's causing the lag.

My litmus test was the Argos site. Hotel : loads and runs quickly. At home : iPad freezes and renders the site and similar picture heavy ones , impossible to use.

Your thoughts please ?

Yes, Chandon underwent a refurb a couple of years ago. Lots of flats springing up all around there including down by the tube station.

Fed up with picking up silly fines for work put me on work to rule ;D

So my trip to Sheffield yesterday was driven at the speed limit.  I thought with less than half a tank when I set out I was going to have to fill up. But it made it there and back on quarter of a tank, if the gauge is to be believed.  It will need filling up before Colindale tomorrow though, as it had a special treat on the way back from work today...   ...a proper spanking.

I used to live in Colindale.

Omega General Help / Re: v6 OIL LEAK
« on: 26 September 2017, 15:17:18 »
Car now reassembled. Engine runs, no lights on, Oil leak I think is cured. Not sure what was wrong last time, however this time I did use new Gm gaskets and a new tube of sealant.
Engine stalls occasionally, and starts with a splutter. Bother. Air leak? I have looked around and can see nothing wrong, not tightened up, no hoses off or missing. I suppose I could remove the plenum and replace it. Has anyone any ideas?

You Sir, are a very, very patient man. I hope you finally sort it. Your patience deserves reward.
This would be me faced with your problem..........

If, as you describe, the public have ready access then it is a public place and they commit the offence.

It may, however still be private property even though the site owners leave the gates open. For example, anyone could drive onto your driveway but it is of course, if you own your house and the land around it, private property. The difference being the owners of the site have given the old punters permission to be on that private land.

The definition of public place and whether a road is a road, is forever being tested in the courts in relation to drink drive.
