General Discussion Area / part number for windscreen rubbers and plastic.

Hi does anyone know the part number or know where to get a replacement rubber and plastic parts that go round the windscreen. the corners on the plastic that hold the rubber in place have snapped and the rubber is splitting and cracked. thanks think the weather has done it as being cold then its been hot.

is it this part Airbag shock sensor GM09173205 or GM09173929 /both/all(more numbers listed) just seem to be 2 pins. could it be a lose connection ?

changed the hydraulic cam lifters, 8 out of 16 damaged springs in them inlet and exhaust. so 16 new one fitted. sounds nice now.

have you checked under the pass seat, see if its wet there. as found a floor pan rubber on mine that would let water in going though the wet stuff. and pooled at the front foot area. but it was the floor rubber seal. removed it and cleaned it round. and put sealant around the rim and put the rubber seal back in, not done it since.

check the small breather pipe from the cam cover blow down it. if blocked clean it out. i changed the pipe on mine went to mush and just blocked up. also changed the t bar on the vacuum line as the rubbers were leaking, misfire went after that. changed all the rubber links on the vacuum lines, so they all new now. and the breather line for the air vent for the tank.

the add is german saab for 1993 to 1998. says its old stock, but there is this company that do the same have a read http://www.pixelfix.net/eng/opel-vauxhall.html, also its only dash with sat nav. had email from insurance to ask if i have factory sat nav. and that's a no.

get a left one and cut the joint roll it up and put in hot water in a bucket make sure its really hot. and while it hot and flexible fit to the door frame and when its cooled down, use some rubber fix glue or sealer made by sealer for vehicles seals, leave to dry before closing the door takes around 30 to 60 min to dry. and it's done. sealer is around £8. flexible fix bond for rubber metal and glass. drys like an elastic band and is black or gray but black for rubber.

I had a problem vauxhall a few years ago would not start. been stud for 3 years in a garage, would just turn over and over no codes nothing. anyway it turned out to be the oil pressure sensor. replaced it and engine came to life after that. think it was 2003-4 astra 3.2. if that helps.
