General Discussion Area / Happy New Year from New Zealand
« on: 31 December 2017, 10:59:56 »
Hi all, fireworks going mad, people everywhere, alchohol ban in the streets and every bar is rammed...  MC's and DJ's making very loud music and more pissed youngsters than I've ever seen in my life !!

Feeling rather old for this place, they reckon 30,000 people have poured into Queenstown just for tonight !!!

So, Happy New Year from a KOS in New Zealand, hope you all enjoy yourselves  :)

General Discussion Area / not good, in any way shape or form
« on: 11 December 2017, 11:44:47 »
:(
sat in a hotel in wembly not enjoying the delights of singapore :(
flight cancelled last night 30 minutes before takeoff. next 6 hours spent trying to find out what was happening then 2 hours queueing to get OUT of the airport. BA staff useless, help in finding accomodation was aleaflet. eventually got in to the hilton at wembley ... 40 bloody miles away. no food, no bar when we got here as gone midnight. bags still somewhere in the bowels of heathrow.

now find we "might!" be on a flight to melbourne via hong kong on wednesday, so go direct but still get there 24 hours late, but no-one knows for sure, or what we do between now and then.

mobile phone is useless so having to sit in hotel room waiting for phone calls from travel agents.

pissed off is not the word

I cannot get my head around what would drive someone do do this ...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-41466116

I've never understood "mental illness" but I "assume" the gunman was "not of sound mind", even though, from the reports of the arsenal of weapons he had with him it was a "planned" (by him) attack ...

Heart goes out to the victims, and to the Gun Lobby and American politicians... fo gods sake do something about guns in America ... Amendments to Constitutions mean nowt compared to human lives .. :(

Omega General Help / Self levelling suspension woes
« on: 29 September 2017, 15:22:45 »
Hitched the tin tent up to the  car and the self levelling has failed to function, pump does not run ... and nowt so far seems to work....

Fuse checked ... OK ... attempts to check voltage input  at the pump .... fail so far ... :(

Am I right that the rear OFFSIDE suspension arm is the correct one for the suspension ?? near side being headlights ??

With that undone and  at its "lowest" position still no 12v at the pump, just around .5 volt on the 2 centre pins which is a weird figure, outer pins are 0 volts.

Next is, according to Haynes .. relay K19 .. but just where is that !! no indication in the book where to look !

Any one with any ideas please shout out .....

What a totaly ignorant, rude, nasty piece of work she is ...

and keeping it very quiet that she was on the Committee of the  LABOUR council who approved the modifications/refurbishment of Grenfell Tower.
