I see the FIA are in trouble again due to their continued reluctance to stand up to Ferrari ....

I'm glad the other teams have queried this, ridiculous that the FIA even thought they could get away with doing it >:(

I was just about to post a thread about this, with the same title when I noticed Nige had saved me the bother.
Its completely outrageous. If allowed to stand, imo it  removes the right  of F1 to call itself a sport, once and for all. It has sailed very close to the wind over the years in this regard, mainly involving Ferrrari being allowed to cheat their way to success, but I hoped that in the post Schumacher / Ecclestone / Mosley era it may have moved on from all that. But apparently not.
I suppose this was a naïve hope when you consider that the two men who ran the Ferrari team during the Schumacher era (Jean Todt and Ross Brawn) are now in charge of world Motorsport and F1, respectively.
Basically, when Ferrari are winning they are cheating. They don't have the ability to consistently win within the rules and never have had in the modern era.
It was obvious to everyone that they were at it during 2018 / 19, but the FIA have dragged their heels as much as possible, and then had an investigation behind closed doors and announced its too late to prove anything conclusively, one way or the other.

F1 isn't really a sport anymore. There are too many rules and regs, and too much money at the top of the tree. The same few teams will win year after year. I guess it's the same with football, money buys success.

I agree, and with the comparison with footie. Look what a waste of time the Premiership is.

My only real interest in it now is Hamiltons astounding driving, coupled with strong sporting ethics. He is close to the perfect driver imo. Once he is finished, I will be finished with watching it.
Ive already pretty much given up watching bike racing, so F1 is the only one left for the moment.

I watch both but the bike racing is far more exciting than F1. :y

From my experience in a former life, any team that keeps winning, is cheating better than the rest. And has interpretation of the rules is better.

Interpreting the rules and cheating are two different things. All F1 teams have very clever people who push the rules to the limits. It seems Ferrari can just ignore the rules as long as they aren't completely blatant about it.
A bit more info here.

Good example is Mercedes and its trick steering that we will see in a fortnight but that is ruled out  for 2021. The best teams attract the best brains and have the most money usually. The FIA headline joke of Entwoods post has been so for ages. Many including Ferrari  believe Ferrari is F1.

Roll on Hamilton giving another masterclass though Bottas is apparently reincarnated as Bottas 3.0 😀😀😀

If the issueare too complex to be able to tell definitively that the rules have been broken or not why the heck have they made the rules?

Could be academic.

Unless all teams are present the grand prixs wont be run. Ferrari have their team in Australia so not locked down in Modena ( or wherever in Northern Italy) what happens if a car gets written off in Oz? How long before they need parts or upgrades?

The second race will be run with no spectators!

Would anyone notice?  It has become so dull and dreary, I'm surprised it gets any audience.  Even the highlights of races now are tedious.
