which v6 exhaust
« on: 30 August 2010, 22:40:14 »

needed a cat back exhaust for a while. have fitted "cheap" exhausts in the past and had to heat and bend sections to get them to fit right.

on the v6 engine, part of the magic is the exhaust note too which i did not want to loose.

considered eternal exhausts but really wanted a longer warranty. after reading some fustrated threads of incorrect parts being supplied, and wanting to view the quality of the exhaust sections between a two and three year system, and wanting it ready for the bank hol i decided to use the local motor factor.

the two year sytem on offer at the motor factors was to say the least shocking. the joint welds looked like they had been done by stevie wonder.

the weight comparision of the back boxes was considerable too.

the thicker tubing adding some weight, but most coming from the internal construction.

the system with the three year warranty was the walker sytem.

on fitting the note sounds good too.

2mm tube

very tidy machine welds to the boxes.

system fitted spot on with equal distances between the body and exhaust.

a bit of noise.
