Got slow loss of fluid (can't see where) and the heater doesn't work so am I looking at a new HBV?

If so can I get from Trade Club and should it be OEM??

My passenger door refuses to unlock with the remote most of the time ... on a  warm day it seems ok

Do I need a new solonoid?

Omega General Help / Door check strap repair

I have read the guide and am about to undertake the repair ... my question is the rounded ends of the repair plate ...

Is the shappe of the plate required, the same size as the outer skin hole it has to go through if you see what I mean

By that I mean there is an outer layer that apearrs to be the same shape ias the reprofiled plate

I am tring to avoid taking the door off and cannot quite get to see the damaged area so if the outer skin "hole " is the same sive that would make things much easier

Does anyone know?

I amm fitting new bones and following the guide in the how to section..... One question.. Although i realise not to tighen the front bush until its loaded...surely I can tighten the rear bush while still in the air cant I.

Replacing the drop links and I turn the 18mm nut and it turns and turns ... any idea how I hold the shaft still?

I have my omega up on stands to replace both wishbones and droplinks as well as suspension top mounts

At the same time I thought I would replace the autobox fluid ... got the new gaskets and sources the new ATF etc ... when I went under the car to open the drain plug it is totally seized and the hex nut has its corners sheared... what can I do ... am I looking at a new sump ?

Looks like my Front suspension mount(s) need changing ....

After some investigation I have got it down to them but there are various makes on the market... being part of the steering I am guessing that OEM would be best would it not..???I

I have seen KYB and QH on fleabay but am unsure of the quality ... can anyone advise if these are any good ... who was the OEM made by ?....and how much?...i s it worth the extra?

Are the originals Lemforder? (does it matter?) if so do you all recommend fitting those?

I notice the Meyle ones at "All German Car Parts" are only slightly cheaper and are "HD" with a 4 year warranty

Omega General Help / Oil filter stuck

Cant get the oil filter to move and trying to clamp onto the hexagonal top of the plastic oil filter cover but keep slipping and bashing the wiring on the exhaust sensors so have stoppped for now as that may prove expensive if I break the sensor.

Can I use a large socket on it (or spanner) the most I have is 32 mmm and it is bigger than that ...does anyone know what size it is or if there is a better way.....it is a 2.5V6.....I was working underneath
