Title: These here DTI pumps
Post by: omegod on 10 March 2018, 16:06:55
Been stripping my dti breaker down today , I bought it as it had cut out and wouldn't restart and I suspected the injection pump was knackered, I expected it to be empty as it wouldn't be pulling fuel through from the tank but it was full of diesel as was the filter housing? does this point to an ok pump and something else was maybe stopping it starting ?

I note from the paperwork it had a cheapo crank sensor fitted a year ago but am not sure the role a crank sensor would play in a diesel not starting

Depends if there's pressure at the fuel rail.
