Pollen filter part 2...Should I change it?
« on: 30 July 2014, 20:56:22 »

I've just checked the old invoices. It has been changed twice.

December 2007.........38,000 miles.
September 2009.........52,000 miles.

Car has now covered 88,500 miles. Does it need replacing?

The same garage changed it on both occasions yet only charged £7.25 each time. I wonder if they fitted the cheaper paper element instead of the carbon one?

The filter should be changed reguarly as it does get damp and is the biggest cause of the windscreen misting up by having damp air drawn through it

What happens if you run the A/C without a pollen filter?

Our ancient Dyson DC01 has been running without filters for years and seem fine.

It is a noisy little bastard though, especially after 'Dysoning up' a load of concrete bits and dust.  ;D
