Pollen Filter - Before and After

After 5 years and 36000 miles this is what I found.

Following a wash and a dry it is now as clean as a virgin's honey pot. :y

Replacement not necessary, I think. :y

Is it that colour on both sides :-\

Slightly darker on the other side. It was still a little wet when I took the photograph.

Slightly darker on the other side. It was still a little wet when I took the photograph.
So one side was darker than the other  :y Which side was the inlet  :-\

The airflow arrows were at the bottom of the filter pointing toward the interior of the car.

Yes, although it is hardly white on either side.

I thought that these filters were supposed to be grey.

Yes, although it is hardly white on either side.

This is the so called eurocrap one  ;D





I see the carbon is trapped between the layers

I rest my case, genuine would have been a tenner and in stock ;D it even tells you which way round to fit it :P

I rest my case, genuine would have been a tenner and in stock ;D it even tells you which way round to fit it :P
But it did come in a nice green box and i got to have sex with the delivery woman   :D :D :D :D

It might look very clean Dr Opti, but just to confirm, do you have access to an air compressor?

If so, put the air nozzle attachment on it and and give the filter a blast from the 'clean' side and see if any crap comes of the dirty/washed side...  ;)

Quite a few OE makers use them too,one of the better quality filters well respected in the trade :y

It may be clean but the charcoal part will have gone passed its use so smells will get through  :y :y
