Despite all his piss and bluster Boris is a one nation Conservative at heart. He was never really comfortable around the swivel-eyed 'little Englanders' like Rees Mogg.

Brexit will be like a 2 minute boiled egg. :)

As far as I know its Theresa Mays deal, but he has thrown Norn Irn under the bus. I believe that's the only alteration to it, but I hope Im wrong.
If Gove hadn't stabbed him in the back after Cameron ran off, Boris could have negotiated a different deal to spineless May three years ago, but we are where we are I suppose.
Im still not sure if her utter uselessness cost May a majority at the last election, or if she actually wanted to lose it.
I only hope that the parts of the EU we are still attached to, and shouldn't be, are things that can be unpicked in the future once the dust is settled. Otherwise, we will have to wait for it to collapse, which might take a few decades.

Time will tell what we will end up with, but my preference would be the bare bones arrangement that leaves us with the loosest possible relationship with the EU and gives us the greatest flexibility to deal with other countries and trading blocks.  :y
The choice will be hard leave, or almost all in.  Have you not paid attention since the referendum?

I think the whole world sees BoJo's deal as worse than TM's.

And to lose your biggest trading partner when you are a tiny, insignificant island leaves you with minimal options in a multinational world.  China is fast becoming a place not to snuggle up with, which starts to leave us vulnerable to being the 51st state

Tiny insignificant island? Where are you living?  Besides now is the time to talk it up not put us down like the last three and a half years. Support you country man!

Would becoming the 51st state be worse than being the 28th state ?
I feel we have more in common with the U.S. than most of Europe.
Been saying that all along ;)

doesn't need that long. If we were anything other than insignificant then even May and Johnson would have looked like master negotiators and not the oxygen theives they are.

Not with that train of thought no confidence in our great country, would you rather live anywhere else then?

This. I often complain about the shithole of a country I live in but, when I think of places I should have moved to when I was younger, I realise they are as bad.....or worse.
Most of them are full of foreigners  :o

it's the wastrels we've elected for so long that I have no faith in. And what little hope I had that would change is fading.
And no, I don't want to live anywhere else as that would merely change (some of) the issues.
