Title: Removal of instrument panel
Post by: bomberdeluxe on 27 June 2019, 08:18:57
Good morning all,
On 16th October 2007, an article explaining by the use of pictures, how to remove the instrument panel on an Omega was posted by Darth Loo-Knee with an accompanying video.
My problem is that for some reason my pc will not run it even though I have downloaded "Flash Player" as required.  Is there another version of this player that doesn't require "Flash Player" so that I can watch to see how it's done as I need to replace the info screen which is situated on the left of the panel.
I am not noted for my gentle patient care when removing delicate fixed items and would appreciate some help with this please if anyone knows of such a version.

Kind regards to all

Graham

Remove the steering column shurod, 4screws underneath, remove centre vents, undo screw at bottom of dash, remove screws x4 in the centre vents holder,  remove screws that hold dash,  pull clocks slightly left, remove plug from mid,  clocks should come out.

That's not entirely accurate on numbers and positioning ;)

Ensure ignition is off and key removed though .

Tilt steering wheel down to lowest position to be able to access center binnacle screw and then you should be able to pull entire clock asembly foward enough to reach multipoint connector for MID...then shuffle assembly to center alittle and it should come away with some light pulling.

It's near enough.
