But Corbyn hasn’t done anything, never been anyone, hasn’t had the job.  He’s got nothing to lose.

just like Boris then. OK he's got the job, but isn't capable of doing it.
That still remains to be seen.

Anybody under any illusions that we won't be leaving on the 31st October under Boris Johnson & Dominic Cummings needs to read the link below. I'm sure parliament's 5th Column MPs many of whom (or their families) have had or been promised by the EU (and/or Soros) their 30 pieces of silver. The Benn Act (reads more like a Mr Bean Act) is so shockingly badly (anybody would think that they were in a hurry) worded between EU loving MP's with the EU's full help, where it is has more holes than an average backstreet pattern parts condom. ::)

This includes the strong impression I've been getting since the last extension, that the EU just want to get rid of us so they can complete their German dominated EUSSR, where the German, French, Italian & Spanish foursome is the marriage made in heaven Brussels with a German Frau as their matriarch, what can possibly go wrong? :o

The Boris & Dominic say they have a watertight case of effectively ignoring the Benn Act, for example it stipulates no minimum or maximum extension time, so Boris could comply by asking for an hour's extension and still leave on the 31st. ;D

I'm not sure that is entirely right Rods as the most insidious part of the Benn Act is that it says that if the EU propose a different extension to the mooted extension to 31st January 2020, then the PM has to accept it.  >:(

So if I'm right, Brussels could reject the 31st January 2020 and tell the UK the only extension date that is acceptable to them is 31st January 2030!  ::)

This may well be the plan.....  :-X

Of course there is another way of looking at this...

The current extension till 31st October was granted on condition that the WA&PD were ratified by Parliament during this time and it was made very clear that the EU would not reopen the WA or re-negotiate.  ::)

Boris could U-Turn and tell the country that he has to comply with the law (Benn Act) and ask the EU for another extension.  The EU ask For what purpose? Boris tells them there is no point or purpose for another extension as they will not compromise, so there is no point in further talks and he is merely doing what the law tells him.  ;)

Ball in Brussels court..... But of course they could say OK, extension till 2030....  :-\

Part of our constitution is that proceeding parliament's can't tie the hands of subsequent ones. With a new session starting with a Queen's speech on the 14th this new parliament & PMs hands being tied like this is unlikely to be compatible with our constitution, one of the many holes in this Mr Bean Act. :D

There are many other flaws which will give QC's plenty of pay days between the 15th & the 31st October. ::)

The Benn Act will still be the law until it's either repealed before the 31st October, it's provisions are carried out before the 31st October or Boris plays the bastards at their own game and gets the bill declared unlawful by the courts.  ::)

We'll see!  :)
