Note: update from Autovaux "we have no larger discs at the moment"

Also, sorry but didn't have time to post pics, the bumpers do not include the removable insert and are will require the bottom edge to be painted as they are the Elite versions that have the colour-coded lower edge.

They're basically selling them cheap because they need the space not because they are sub-standard or NLS.

Hope this helps someone.

I've finally found my "ideal" car ('99 Omega MV6 in Polar Sea Blue, with next to no rust and like new underneath) so I now have a home for all the best bits from my old '95 Elite which has turned to mush underneath.

Engine, gearbox, suspension and interior are all being transferred to the new car, so that probably doesn't leave much that anyone else would want, but you never know - there's always those silly little bits and pieces.

Anything small that's easy to remove, £1

Anything bigger or more difficult to remove, £5

Collection from Alloa, Central Scotland or can post if you cover the cost.

Car needs to go within the next 2 weeks cos SMWBO's doing her nut that I have 3 Omegas in the back yard!

Anyone looking to swap a full mini-FL MV6 cloth interior from a 1999 MV6 for a pair of light grey leather seats with the airbags on.

Must be in VGC.

Cheers.

94
From my 95 Elite trim code 651 with 88k on the clock: Full set of light grey leather seats and all 4 door cards with puddle lights (and have MV6 carbon effect trims fitted).

All in excellent condition except for a little worn patch on the driver's seat, as shown in last photo, all 4 heaters working.  Front seats have full electric adjustment and driver's has memory if you have/fit the control unit.

Looking for £125 for the lot.

Other parts from car also available - including working rear blind (this car was before the Bose gear though).

95
After a N/S headlight washer jet for my 98 mini-facelift.

Cheers.

96
As above

I'm after a full Irmscher body kit for a '99 saloon

Cheers,
Stephen

97
Can someone please move to Parts, ta.

Need a rear door wiring loom for my '95 Elite.  Prefer O/S but it doesn't really matter cos they're both the same.

MUST BE Part # 90 492 807 (Ident 3T)

Thanks.

98
Can one of the mods please move this to parts please?  Ta!

After a few door parts for the "new" Omega

First, I need the external handle for the driver's door in Polar Sea Blue (dark met. blue) - don't really need the back-plate and all that just the handle itself as one of the hinges broke (have temporarily swapped it for the one off the back door).  Driver's rear door handle would do just as well because the actual handle bit is the same.

Second, O/S rear door wiring loom Part # 90 492 807 (Ident 3T) - the central locking motor and speakers don't work but the window and puddle light do.  There appears to be damage to the loom where it passes from the door pillar into the door so I suspect this is root of the problems.

Also need...

Driver's door speaker

Driver's door clip-in part of grab handle in grey

Driver's door clip-in part of grab handle in black

Cheers.

99
As above, need a crank sensor for my '95 3.0L Elite part No 90 492 006

Cheers.

Can someone in admin please move to parts wanted? Cheers.

1998 'S' Reg 3L MV6 Auto in star silver with black leather interior.  Cambelt kit and waterpump just fitted.

Spec (standard MV6): 3L V6, 4spd Auto with sports and snow modes, firmer suspension than other Omegas, PAS, ABS, TC, Xenon headlights, 17" alloys, full leather interior with heated front seats and carbon effect dash and door trims, driver and passenger front airbags and side airbags, 4 x electric windows, electric sunroof and mirrors, remote central locking with full closure (closes windows and sunroof from remote), 6 disc CD changer, steering wheel audio controls, trip computer, phone pre-wiring kit, dual zone climate control.

Good points...
94k on the clock, regularly serviced, autobox oil and filters changed around 75k.
Cam covers and breathers done at 75k.
Everything mechanical and electrical works as it should, even the heated seats!
Engine and gearbox run sweet as a nut.
Stainless steel exhaust.
Xenons and h/l levelling system all 100%.
Interior and leather all in very good conditon with no tears or worn patches.
MOT to mid November.
New front pads and rear donut bushes just fitted.
Cam Belt kit and water pump just fitted.

Bad points...
Bodywork typical for year - rust starting to break out on rear arches, tops of 2 doors, one or two little patches on bottoms of doors and front wings where some headcase has screwed the mudflaps straight into the steel.
Small oil leak from sump area.
Aircon needs re-gassing.
Needs taxing.

All-in-all a very genuine, well-running car that has a few years left in her yet and a little effort would bring the bodywork up-to-scratch.

Looking for £750 but will give all sensible offers due consideration.  Not willing to break, car is too good and I don't have the time or energy!

Hi guys

Now that I've finally got my "Mega Omega" project on the road, it's time to part company with my run-around...

1998 'S' Reg 3L MV6 Auto in star silver with black leather interior.

Spec (standard MV6): 3L V6, 4spd Auto with sports and snow modes, firmer suspension than other Omegas, PAS, ABS, TC, Xenon headlights, 17" alloys, full leather interior with heated front seats and carbon effect dash and door trims, driver and passenger front airbags and side airbags, 4 x electric windows, electric sunroof and mirrors, remote central locking with full closure (closes windows and sunroof from remote), 6 disc CD changer, steering wheel audio controls, trip computer, phone pre-wiring kit, dual zone climate control.

Good points...

Cam covers and breathers done at 75k.

Engine and gearbox run sweet as a nut.
Stainless steel exhaust.
Xenons and h/l levelling system all 100%.
Interior and leather all in very good conditon with no tears or worn patches.
Tax to end April, MOT to mid November.

Bad points...
Bodywork typical for year - rust starting to break out on rear arches, tops of 2 doors, one or two little patches on bottoms of doors and front wings where some headcase has screwed the mudflaps straight into the steel.
Alloys are tatty.
Small oil leak from sump area.
Aircon needs re-gassing.
Cambelt due but quality kit and belt included in sale - will fit for right money.

All-in-all a very genuine, well-running car that has a few years left in her yet and a little effort would bring the bodywork up-to-scratch.

Looking for £750 but will give all sensible offers due consideration.  Not willing to break, car is too good and I don't have the time or energy!

Will do better photos if the rain stops, but here are some from a couple of months ago - it's the silver one that's for sale, not either of the Polar Sea Blue ones!!!

BTW, the "Mega Omega" is the one on the left of the picture above - it now sits a lot lower.  One day I'll get round to doing a post about it for the gallery.

Due to being about to acquire another (i.e. 3rd) Omega, I'm selling my 1998 Silver 3.0L Auto MV6 with black leather interior.

Will post up photos after I've given her a wash.  Spec as you know includes Xenons, front heated seats, 4 x electric windows, etc.

90k on the clock, cam cover gaskets and HBV done last year, auto fluid and filter changed the year before.  Cambelt due about 94k.

MOT March 2011, Tax Oct 2010.  Mechanically perfect, body typical with rust starting to show at arches, bottom and top edge of one or two doors.  Interior is very good with no worn patches on leather.

Looking for £750.

General Car Chat / OOF Courier Request
« on: 04 August 2010, 14:22:13 »
Hi Guys

Anyone able to collect a wheel from Northampton nn4 8az for transport to Scotland?

Can arrange a courier to bring up North if that's a problem, main thing is to collect the wheel some time in the evening (can't be collected during the day which is why I can't just get a courier to pick it up).

Cheers in advance to anyone who can help.

Stephen
