Title: wanted pictures of old elitalloys on a facelift
Post by: paul l on 27 May 2017, 18:18:10
As the title suggests, anyone have any pictures of their facelift, plonked on some prefacelift elite alloys?, always like the design but not sure if it`ll suit a newer model

Being only a 16inch rim they look lost in the wheel arch IMHO.

When I bought my Elite it had 16inch pre facelift rims and due to that I used it as a good bargain tool from seller.

Replaced them almost as soon as I got it home onto the correct 17inch 7 spoke. :)

Cant help out with pictures but advise is against it  :y

First thing I did when I bought my FL Elite was to fit 16" wheels, they ride so much better and look fine. :y

Sorry if this hi-jacks the thread a little. My F/L Elite has 17" wheels while the spare is a 16" [factory]steel wheel which is therefore classed as a "space saver"I believe so I presume all such cars were the same? However if an owner like shacking reverts to 16" rims on the car does the spare then become a "proper"spare?

I'd say so, given most Omegas run on a 15" spare, yes  :)

Personally like the MFL Elite rims, though they do look rather 'curvy' on the slightly more 'chiselled' FL. Some as, somehow, many FL wheels just seem to look 'wrong' on PFL cars... even though it's the same ruddy shell! Strange, how aesthetics work.

There`s food for thought. Like the lower spoiler on the white one, very subtle. I'm not going too dark on my alloys lol
First the turbo replacement then one shall look at changing the seats and so on
