Only as a loaner while routine maintenance is ongoing I hope! Or has the Jaaaag become upset at something?

Anything nice (other than the engine)? Dealers usually try and upsell you through a loaner, but I can't imagine what they'd try and upsell you to...  :-\

Very astute, Mr jimmy.

My car is currently being driven back to Spire Jaguar in Watford to have minor warranty work done. A slight crack in one of the aero-skirts and a 'scuff' on the front splitter means all are being replaced FOC. :y

I was amazed when the driver turned up in the diesel to learn he was just 19 years old. :o :o :o :o

To be fair to the kid he seemed mature beyond his years even though he didn't look as though he'd need the use of a shaver for a year or two.

I mean a 510 BHP V8 in the hands of a callow 19 year old.......what can possibly go wrong. ::) ::)

Well, Henry. Watford Jaguar tell this lad has driven the 575 BHP F-Type SVR without mishap. :)

When I was 19 I drove a Mk1 1100 Escort with a grey primer front wing. :-\

When I was 19, I had a bright yellow van, and £1m liability insurance. What could possibly go wrong?

I had a yellow van, and I am that old. GPO telephones was a proper company to work for. No mobile phones or trackers, you could ‘work’ on a large PABX for days without being bothered.

The only method of (trying to) getting hold of me was those radiopagers.

They did give by a mobile when I became SFIO, but despite a bloomin great big car battery strapped to the bottom, only had a talk time of 20 mins, and only worked in the centre of larger towns.

If my controller hadn't heard from me when expected, he used to get another colleague on a wild goose chase trying to find me to check I was still OK ;D

We used to take a handful of job sheets out of the exchange in the morning and, if we got them done in good time or no one was in at the subs address, we would have to ring from a phone box to get another job. These ‘jobs’ were open to negotiation so you could finish close to home.  ;D
