Omega General Help / Rear pass side break kine

Just come back with no breaks. Not even a break light on so checked the reservoir and it’s empty so had. Look on ground we’re been parked an looks like it’s leaking above the exhaust pipe area anyone know the fittings and pipe type or size? Cannot get under their today as it’s raining.  Looks like the only area on main line.

Well done 526 mile trip on £70 of petrol up and down the A1 and only problem had was a return pipe on the water line needed the clip changing as had a drip. Not bad going. Even fully loaded with stuff to the roof lol.

Speedo wobble at 20mph, only doing it when slowing down and been driving for a while. Goes up ok and other speeds still correct. Just when dropping speed. No abs light. Is sensor on the left wheel or right wheel for speedo. Or could it be the dash it is hot while driving was 52c in car with all windows open. Green house on wheels surpose don't help with slow traffic. ?

Charging wire from altinator to the battery. Took battery off and used a meter and getting 2.64 resistance just from the wires from both ends. Getting battery light flicker but voltage at battery with engine running is 14.2 and at altinator it's 14.8. 13.1 from wire to dash.  cannot find any hot spots on wire can see. But I've had to change come wiring as its gone oxidised ie black. Was thinking does it need changing ?

Would any one know why both head light adjusters would not work. 0to3 dose nothing. Checked fuses all fine have high and low beam and Sidelights but no they not miving on any number cannot even hear the motors going. Put on meter to wiring on drivers side and yellow and first brown has 10 volts nothing on the next brow to yellow. On any number selected. Is it the switch on the dash playing up or something ells as would not thought both motors going at the same time ?

General Discussion Area / part number for windscreen rubbers and plastic.

Hi does anyone know the part number or know where to get a replacement rubber and plastic parts that go round the windscreen.  the corners on the plastic that hold the rubber in place have snapped and the rubber is splitting and cracked. thanks  think the weather has done it as being cold then its been hot.

hi all, ive been noticing that the windows on the mig are steaming up. as some will know its not been used for a good few days. but looking out the window can see its condensated up. were as other vehicles are all clear winds.  is it the air vents again or something else.

Hi all. can you replace the seal on the sunroof, if so is there a how to, corner is lifting away so thing it needs removing and cleaning up and putting a new seal on, looked for a new glass with seal but they only seam to sell the hole unit and runners and motor etc when i only need the glass ?

Omega General Help / removing the dash to get to the heater inerds

hi, is there a diagram or info on removing the dash, the vent control has broken off and need to get into it fix it as its bypassing heater and freezing air coming out, thought it was the cable but its intake and still connected at heater end, so put camera down and can see the door has snapped off inside. would not mind if it was passide but its not, cannot find any info of what to take off or location of all the fixtures, can see some bolts behind the dash and glove box,  do i need to take the steering wheel off, i've managed to source a new door mechanism off a old unit but its now just trying to get the thing out to replace it, and at same time think will change some other bits like the core while its out. book is no help at all.

well went out to omega and was checking oil water etc and put the bonnet down and noticed something strange on the window, that was not there yesterday, so had a closer look and there is a crack from the corner on drivers side just up to the square patterns in the screen, no impact mark from a stone etc so something must of flown  into window as we had 60-70 mph winds around here, so rang around for a new window and all wanting above £200 for glass + rim. (standard) so had to make the call, the one to insurance so at least i'm only out £75 and replacing window on saturday. what a time to be having to pay out for a windscreen. just hope its not snowing when it gets fitted

General Car Chat / vectra 2001 1.8 abs problem strange.

hi was driving this the other day and the abs came on at a slow steady stop witch was not good as made stopping worse as no real pressure on the braking. has anyone come accross this before as no codes, has done it a few time now but breaking is working as normal when it dont do this. thanks if can help, an old man drives it normally and his reactions are not that good if it dont work as it should.
