I'm a bit pessimistic about all this.  :-\

The only reason that the military have stepped in is that they didn't want Grace Mugabe taking over when good old 'Uncle Bob' is gone and the old guard of ZANU-PF will probably try and carry on much as before.  :(

Whether that is possible or not remains to be seen as they seem to have 'let the genie out of the bottle'.  The people clearly want and need change, as they demonstrated in unprecedented scenes in Harare yesterday!  :y
They were actively encouraged to turn out... Whether this is a cynical ploy or simply a chance for free expression remains to be seen, but something had to happen and this has to be preferable to all hell breaking loose when uncle Bob finally carps it ;)

Whilst I agree, history shows us that replacing a (virtual) dictator with democracy never ends as well as is hoped.

I suspect a lot of instability ahead, that will spread into the rest of Southern Africa.
Actually this 'coup' has been carried out with relative dignity, and whilst it is very early days, the powers that be seem to want to return Zimbabwe to its former glory  :y

Not sure what the boutiques in Paris will do without Grace propping them up though ::)

Back on topic - I watched McDonnell being interviewed on TV this morning. It was truly scary to hear the man produce a torrent of verbal dysentery with so much conviction.
The scary thing is that young people will listen to this nonsense and believe in it.

That man is the biggest threat to Britain's future in my opinion and I do not understand why the Tories arn't relentlessly attacking him on his previous record, when he was Finance Chief at the old Greater London Council and was sacked by Ken Livingston for his incompetence and nearly bankrupting London!!  >:(

As you rightly say it's scary that people believe the shite he spouts!   :o  ::)
He must have been woefully shocking for Red Ken to have noticed :o

There's no excuse for dumping shite anywhere... Plenty to be done recycling... We have one bin for card/plastic/metal, one for general rubbish and a paid for one for garden waste... Just been offered a second recycling bin for free too 8) but some councils still insist on 8 or 9 bins for various bits and bobs, so it's no wonder people don't bother :-\

Only if your licence allows it ;)

Any licence passed after 97 will too
.

Doesn't affect those with a class 1. :)
Which is nice 8)

The MAM is still restricted to 3,500kgs. So in your case, your maximum loaded trailer weight is a touch over 1,200 kgs unless you have +E, and smaller cars may allow a higher gross trailer weight, but won't necessarily be able to tow that weight. Actually quite a clever restriction.

Basically, in order to carry out any significant towing, you need to take a +E test ;)

As noble as the idea is, plastic is cheaper and easier to make than glass.

Unless you want/are prepared to pay significantly more for goods, don't expect the status quo to change...

.... and anyone who passed their test after '97 requires a separate test to drive over 3.5t or tow a proper (+750kg) trailer.

 ......

Though digressing ..... that's not right  ::)
You can indeed tow a small trailer without a +E licence...

Alternative is to inform your insurers and have them trace the TP...

I refer the honorable gentleman to my first post. :y
You're legally and contractually obliged to tell them whether you want to or not ::)

You're prepared to bend this point yet unwilling to flex slightly in order to simply confirm that TP is even insured...
