Was hoping to pop along, but just had a roster change foisted upon me :'(

The joys of being agency owned...

Manufacturing tolerance of pattern parts...

Basically, use a suitable file to slightly extend the oval slot on the top strut/hub bolt ;)

Once the tyres have started to wear in a particular way, they will continue to wear unevenly even if the cause has been addressed.

Tweak the camber adjustment, fit new tyres and report back after a few k:s ;)

Part of me misses the challenges of regular class 1 work, but there's not much call for it in airport land ::)

That said, I have my Snow Plough refresher on Thursday...

Which means doing a reverse figure of 8 in This....

Which is nice :D

Can you parallel park it though?  ::)
Just about... the steering single rear axle is a bit of a mind oppser :D

Noone said it would fit, merely that they look similar...

But to answer your question, '99-'03 should avoid confusion...

Hi,
Iíve just brought the CD out of retirement for a bit only to find the left front wheel arch liner has broken free.
Is this easy to replace this and are the rear ones any harder to soet out?

A picture would probably help :-\

They're held on by a selection of screws, nuts and plastic rivets...

What they say and do are different things... They could all vote it through yet publicly say that they didn't.

The trouble with this proposal is that it has to be an unilateral compromise. Anything else is even less palettable.

There will be some ranting and jumping up and down, but ultimately it will go through. It simply has to.

Why? Then we are trapped.  It's the devil or the deep blue sea.  ::)  and we should set sail.  :y
I never said it was good, it's simply that the alternatives are worse...

Most of the gimmicky stuff is an unintended consequence of the safety stuff. Adaptive cruise and self parking are effectively a GPS map away from a self driving car.

....
Back in the mid nineties a woman I know owned a 2.8i with a 5 speed box.

It needed  thrashing to within an inch of it's life to have any meaningful acceleration due to a combination of leggy gearing and a lack of torque at low revs. I know the V6 Essex lump has been described as a 'boat anchor' but at least it had good low speed torque.

Turbo Technics (blast from the past but still trading I believe) did a nice job of resolving that. I was a member of Capri Club International (membership card still comes in handy as an ice scraper) and mentioned the mod to my mate. He had it done by them and it flew.  :y

If the Cologne engine didn't have low speed torque I don't know what it did have. It was all over by about 5,000 RPM too, from what I recall, hence the gearing. ;D

I remember my Dad trying to decide between a 12v Granada and a 24v Senator back in the early 90s. It was hardly a difficult decision. ;D
Chalk and cheese...

The 2.9 Cosworth 24v V6 would give a 3.0/3.2 Omega a sound kicking (if only because the Granada is about 200kgs lighter.

That said both will cruise at Vmax. Allegedly  :-X

Either you're a former banger racer or a glutton for punishment  :o

Mind you, I have had seven Granadas and seven Omegas  :-[

I don't like driver aids. It has produced the lazy disinterested drivers we are all complaining about.
Chicken and egg... crap driving=fatalities=development of things to assist/protect against crap driving=less fatalities=less driving focus=crap driving...

If my Nan could drive safely, nay competently, (she couldn't (the dip switch is not a clutch) ::)), none of the safety systems we see today would need to have been invented. Unfortunately most of these have coincidentally made driving worse for the reasons above...

Certainly more people should see vids like this. I don't know about anyone else, but watching that it really didnt look like the Omega was going that fast/much lateral force. As has already been said, its all about driving within the vehicle's limits, whatever they may be.

Seem to remember Tiff of Top/5th Gear taking a Morris Minor powersliding round a track - making the point that any vehicle can be driven well, and actually a 'bad' handling car car actually offer huge rewards, and be driven well.
Irrelevant if you're scared to drive it.
