Newbie Welcome Area / Re: Drivers door won't open

Sounds like a stuck inner lock mechanism, they are greased from factory and it dries out

Step 1: (if button is in looked position)drop the window,  pull the door button off it's rod, grab it with mole grips and pull up as hard as possible.

Step 2 : force the door card away from the door, this will wreck it, put the window up  , spray tons of WD or suchlike towards the b post / at the back of the door lock mechanism whilst working the outer door handle and it should eventually unstick

The last few I've broken have been hideously rusty underneath, I always thought they were quite resilient , back arches excepted, the front where the cross member joins the chassis rails was coming away in chunks on the last one.

There a one owner preface 3.0 Manual MV6 saloon stashed away near me that I'd love to get my hands on but he won't sell.....yet !

Another vote for the costco 2 tonne one, it'll give you a hernia if you try and carry it but it's a superb bit of kit  :y

I'm breaking an estate if you want any replacement airbag bit's

I thought I was a gonna earlier, when sat on the potty, following eating something most disagreeable at lunchtime.

There was a big yelp, and a lot of blood.  Blotting, rather than wiping, was clearly the order of the day  :'(

Its made me feel quite delicate, and sorry for myself. Doubt there is any sympathy here though.
Lots of blood, eh? Sounds like you need your piles pushing back. I know a lad who'll help you out, pm me for details.

I've retired  ;D

Posting this on behalf of one of our members Ray who hasn't got internet currently so I will relay any answers back

2002 2.2 dti CDX, power steering is getting heavy at low speed but works as normal at motorway speeds, Power steering fuse is fine apparently as is fluid level

Would this have servotronic ?

Sounds like a petrol focus estate or suchlike is what you need, so cheap they are disposable

Try vaping, better than any other method   :y
Why does vaping produce a cloud of smoke similar to what an old wreck, say an omega, produces when starting up? I was walking behind someone the other day and, every now and then, it went dark.  ;D

I think it's a special liquid that's makes more steam, I'm just on 2 years vaping as opposed to 30 stinky cigs a day and honestly don't know how I afforded to smoke  :o

I feel a lot better for it and the smell of cig smoke now makes me want to vomit. Champix made me really aggressive so I had to stop it but good luck. Stopping will be the biggest favour you can do yourself  :y

Aye we have one of those pages but Saturday/Sunday morning it's full of "I lost my handbag last night, possibly in " followed by a list of 5-10 pubs. Amazing how little care people take care of 800 worth of phone, passport + purses when bladdered.

Some do get reunited though which is nice :y

I believe Police don't deal with lost property anymore but I guess if I walked in with 10k cash I'd just found they would change their tune  ;D

Got one here Sam

There's a complete generation lost sadly, recent event locally

An illegal scrambler bike is riding at up to 100 mph through a busy shopping area, knobhead loses control hits a wall without helmet, license, insurance and police attending the scene get harrassed ,abused and tyres let down etc by other local gobshites. Little scrote dies a few days later and apparently he was a diamond, would do anything for anyone, never hurt a fly and other 'dangle berries'.

One less problem in my opinion  >:(

omegod of this parish, scraps them ALL and pays for his kids private education by selling the gearbox and linkages to people making kit cars and using the XE block turning FWD into RWD :y

Close on one count, wrong on many  :P

I liked this one  ;D
