Omega General Help / Big brake conversion

 I know that there has been some conversions done here to upgrade the Omega,s brakes.
I seem to remember that some had used Porsche items.
Anyone know what parts were used, any bits that have to be made to make them fit, what is minimum wheel size for clearance
This is to do an upgrade on a Carlton. It has the normal 296mm front discs as the Omega B has

  Morning all, as this year is the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Omega B, We at ABS are inviting OOFers to join us at Sywell for the weekend, 5th-6th-7th July
For booking, go to the VBOA website, click on the drop down box and select Autobahnstormers in the club name section
It is also the 20th anniversary of the V8 cars HSV,s) so we will be mustering as many of those as well as we can

 Is anyone in the North Herts area who would like to weld and Omega up for MOT.
I do not know the extent or exact area as yet. ABS member who has just had her car fail the test
Or, anyone know of smewhere that would do it, in that area?

Omega General Help / Omega Xenon headlights

 Morning all,
I seem to remember from my mig that it had a lever inside each xenon headlamp that would allow for driving on the left (proper side) or on the right.
Do some of these aftermarket headlamps not come with this feature?

  Good morning to all,
Some sad news from ABS.
Dave Waddington, the club chairman, died yesterday morning.
I know there are many here that know him.
Despite his health problems, he was always cheerful and did not let things get him down
Always out to promote ABS and his love of Lotus Carltons, he will be very missed.

Omega General Help / X30 rear crank seal

  Hi all, have a member who has an oil leak from the rear crank seal on his auto Omega. Apart from the gearbox, torque converter and flex plate, how much more does he need to strip off to replace please?
