Double sided badge tape on both.
The griffin has the additional locating pins
Badge tape is black and about 3-4mm thick
Can be obtained in different widths from 5mm upwards

 Way to hot for spraying.
About 8am is a good temp at the moment but don't expect a good finish with having o do such large areas

I had given a list of upcoming anniversary's for ranges to the committee a few years ago.
Yes, 40 years for the first Royale, Monza, Senator models is this year. It is also 25 years of Omega"B"
A decision was taken after the Lotus variants that it could end up getting a bit samey as every year would be an anniversary.
Next year is 15 years of the V8,s
The year after is 40 years of Viceroy, Commodore"C"
The one after that is the clubs 30th year
Next celebration is to be the clubs 30th that is celebrated
Not my decision to stop the cars anniversary's
But, that may change in the future. We will be electing a new chair person at this years AGM.
They may be the driving force to restart the model anniversaries again
Got to find a club member who is willing to be chair first :D

Omega General Help / Re: Air Con Clutch Fallen Off
« on: 03 July 2018, 07:22:36 »
No, the one I have is for a preface lift model.
I bought for my facelift car not knowing there was a difference.
My front pulley came off at 60 mph, went through the fan cowl, smashed up the blades, three of which came up through the bonnet. The rest wiped out all hoses across the front of the engine
and bent the viscous coupling, and put a hole in the radiator almost 2 inches in diameter.
Had to stop then

Do you have a facelift car or pre facelift?
Pumps are different on the 2.5TD for these
Facelift is a three bolt fixing
If I still have it, I have a pre facelift ac compressor

Omega General Help / Omega Xenon headlights
« on: 29 June 2018, 07:52:44 »
 Morning all,
I seem to remember from my mig that it had a lever inside each xenon headlamp that would allow for driving on the left (proper side) or on the right.
Do some of these aftermarket headlamps not come with this feature?

Banger boys love them at the £1800-£2500 range.
They sell all the trim, glass and brightwork.
Sometimes they even sell on the engine and box
They return around £3000 and still have the rest of the car left to race

I think its a grey area about needing the licence for a householder hiring one of these.
The hire company gives the basic operating instructions and then its down to the hirer.
On a site its totally different due to the amount of other bodies around.
Yea, nice machine

Looking for a pair of the above.
Just need the lamp units, no HID ballasts
Any one got a good pair?
