I have to add that the Dell was pretty good, just a stupid digital tuner annoyance though. And blue LEDs.

Well somehow I would not expect you to have bought a Sony....  ;D
I did seriously look at the Bravias, enough to do research. In true Sony style, they are knobbled. Some have fans (pillocks), some have no PC type input (bit short sighted), and many have a knobbled vga port that won't allow native resolution.

The Samsung I have only supports a few resolutions via VGA and DVI/HDMI port - see the pdf manual for details if it will affect you.

I just got a Samsung to replace the Dell I had for the last year. Turned up this morning.  Very impressive.

I have a 6190. Does what it says on the tin. No colour, no stupid rings, no mp3 player, decent battery life (a week).

Wynose and Hardknot passes (on same road), near 'The Pikes' if you fancy a stroll :p

A boat trip across Windamere can be nice if its not too cold.

I find the lakes nice purely for the scenary - park up in some picnic area, and go for a nice stroll next to the lakes.  Some of the nature trails are a nice stroll.

Sellafield not far away, apparently worth a trip - only time we went, we missed the bus to the actual station, so only got to see visitor centre.

Testing reasons.

Do you think I'd stand a chance, of getting a matching alloy for my car?

Unfortunately, a longer run has identified that a VERY slight vibration may still exist. It's a million times better, it may even be in my mind (one can become paranoid to these things!)..
Can't remember for def, but yours had fairly std CDX alloys? If so, shouldn't be that difficult to obtain with a little effort and time.

... As a standard, steel wheel, 5 stud 16 inch, that will fit the Omega, and take a 225/55 tyre? Cheers
If the offset and PCD are the same....

Remember all manufacturers use different PCDs and offsets.

Yes, do VX do one that will fit?
I believe Vx ones are all 15".  Why Steel wheels - the 225 tyre is too wide to fit saloon spare wheel area?

We have to all accept though that its a different world now. I used to get smacked if i was naughty and its done me no harm. The problem is too many rules by the government so people darent chastise their kids in public for fear of prosecution. The only way forward would be to get out of all this human rights crap and let parents parent their kids.

And there lies the problem with society today  >:(
