Omega General Help / Omega wheel bolt covers
« on: 30 June 2018, 22:08:12 »
Hi guys.

Ok, so I want to spruce up my wheel bolt covers. I was going to just buy a new set but I got berated from taxi al last time for being lazy  ;D so is there a way to spruce them up?

They've gone really dull. Presumably due to the TFR from the polish cleaners.

Any ideas...

TIA boyos  :y

Hi guys. Hope you're all well.

Getting ready for taking my lovely Omega to Billing and there's only a couple of niggly things that I need to do. One of them is that the buttons on my drivers door window switch unit thingy are awful. Many years of having my filthy paws touching them.

Anyone got one with decent buttons, as close to new looking as possible; if possible  😄

Thanks boys

General Discussion Area / Situation with neighbour. Help please
« on: 01 June 2018, 14:15:09 »
Hi guys. Hope you're all well.

Looking for a bit of advice if possible.

Ok, so mum and dad have a fence at the bottom of their garden. One of the posts was rotting so dad arranged to have it replaced as the fence on this side is their responsibility. Fair enough.

The chap turned up, put his new post on the floor and proceeded to dig the hole. The back way neighbours watched him dig the hole. Only after this did they complain that they didn't like the fence post  ???

So dad sent the fence man away. The back way neighbour then stormed round going mental that they want the situ sorting??? A bit ironic as she was the one who turned the bloke who came to fix it away   ;D I'm very unhappy about the way she spoke to them. Mum and dad are getting on and they really don't need the hassle.

Anyways the nightmare neighbours are now on holiday and I'm waiting for them to get back so I can go round and have some strong words!!!

Anyway I like to get my facts right...

Am I right in thinking that as my dad is responsible for the fence he is the one to choose what type of fence panel and / or fence post is chosen?

I haven't seen it and I hope I'm not being thick when I say this but a fence post is a bloody fence post lol

Anyways I shall be telling them that we either fit the bloody fence post or she can get a solicitor to correspond with mum and dad and that I'm now dealing with it and if they contact my mum and dad I'm going to get the police on them for harassment!

Rant over.

Any advice you can give me would be greatly received. Cheers boys  :y

Anyone going to this?

https://www.billingaquadrome.com/event/vauxfest/

Ive just had a load of body work done in the aim of getting my dog to a show this year. Looks like this ones the one  :y

My old dog has had some bodywork done.  Very pleased with it except that he's made a right hash of removing and refitting the vauxhall lettering.

Can anyone help?

Starting to really feel like they're rocking horse shit on the roads.

But on eGay there's a load.

Seriously considering at least another one in case one day in the not too distant future we wake up and they're all gone.

General Discussion Area / Parking fine help...
« on: 03 January 2018, 19:42:54 »
Hi guys, happy new year  :y

Hoping you can help.

Wifey parked in an MK car park run by a "Napier Parking". As a good wifey she purchased a parking ticket.

Two weeks later we get a letter with a parking fine lol anyways it appears the reg. was incorrect by a letter. Wifey had to input the reg. herself hence the slight error. Anyways we sent proof we'd paid our ticket fee and they have declined our appeal! I mean come on, surely someone has a ounce of common?!?

Anyway they've progressed this to a debt recovery solicitor.

I've sent a very snotty email demanding immediate removal of the fines which has now increased to £200

However should we be worried or is this just a dodgy company trying it on?

Your input very much appreciated 😀👍👍👍

Omega General Help / Rear vinyl(?) sticker trim
« on: 03 December 2017, 14:51:56 »
Afternoon u crazy kids  :)

So chap at work who is an excellent welder got hold of eeyore yesterday. We removed ns sill trim and he cut out and welded in new metal where I'd got a ruddy great rotten piece of metal.

I then finished off by underselling the whole sill round the trim clips, putting it all back together and painting.

However. In the process there is a black piece of sticker trim that has now disappeared. I thought I'd be ok with it but it kind of looks odd. Can I get a load of this and cut myself? If so anyone know where I can get it  :y

Anyone got a linky to ATP track rods for my FL 2.5?

I know they sell the full track rods for both sides (including the inner and outer ends) but I'm buggered if I can find it 😢😢

Omega General Help / Boot question
« on: 27 November 2017, 22:21:57 »
When you lift out the boot carpet to reveal the boot metal.... does the colour match that of the car?

I'm currently in to under sealing and covering exposed metal. If this metal matches the star silver of my car then it's going to get a makeover 😎😎😎

General Car Chat / Omegas abroad
« on: 25 November 2017, 09:26:20 »
Currently in Poland on me holibobs.

I came here ten years ago and though I didn't have an omega it was the car I wanted. I therefore looked out for them and to say there were shit loads was an understatement.

Ten years on I've been here for 3 days and I've counted 5.

One pfl burgundy estate
Three star silver (lol) omegas. Two fl estates, one fl saloon in 2.6 guise.
One dark coloured pfl estate.

Really surprised. I expected to see shed loads

General Car Chat / TFR
« on: 16 November 2017, 21:02:47 »
So I get my car washed in the supermarket car park. I've been informed they use TFR and this proper does your headlights, plastic trims etc. in.

Is that right? Bar the headlights fogging I've never noticed any trim going light?

Your thoughts much appreciated
