General Car Chat / Auto vs Manual finally put to bed...... I think

g'day folks. as the title suggests i think ive sorted this ongoing debate.
because im a complete geek (and ive bin sick of people giving me stick about my auto.... 'its not fun' 'its not fast' etc etc) i have been doing some research and my findings have been quite interesting......
ok when the manual men talk about the performance of manual vs auto it is true that 'the stick' wins. buuuut this is only normal everyday cars (which is why the manual equivalent of my 2.5 v6 cd does 0-60 half a second to a second faster than my auto).
however we all know the fastest cars in the world (supercars) have the semi auto box with the paddle shift. but i have contacted ferrari, aston, jaguar and porsche (told u i was a geek) and they have all confirmed that you get exactly the same performance either using the 'schumacher looking' flappy paddles or the car in auto with the race/sport mode activated.
so there we have it. everyday cars the stick wins. fastest cars in the world its got to be an auto.

i note from parkers that the list price of brand new omegas (of the new shape) was between £16k and £32k.
any ideas on where in that scale would my 2.5 v6 cd have cost?
i assume middle of the road but interesting to know

guys, i have a lovely 2.5v6 cd omega. she's a beauty but i'd love to get more out of her in terms of performance. is it possible to make my baby go faster and is it gonna cost the earth? really want to get a fast 0-60 time

as above. had some routine blood tests done and the results are fine in every department apart from the above. i am at 6.5 when you should be between 3 and 5 apparently. theyve scared me a little bit as i need to make an urgent docs app. as i'm ''critical'' 
theyre going to shove me on tabs straight away.
i didnt think i was particularly bad health wise. just shows ya. anyone else suffer from this???

bought some sugar free red bulls yesterday. lovely and refreshing when freezin' cold.
however, had the worst nights' sleep i've ever had. went to bed at 2 cos i was wide awake (i know cos of the caffeine) and am up this morning at 5.30 completely wired and awake lol
but the odd thing was the heart pulpatations like a mother trucker.
