new armrest
« on: 29 September 2015, 19:55:04 »

So fancied doing something with my armrest as i don't like the feel and look of it.

Mate of mine is an Upholster and so got him to do this with some foam and leather.

Turned out pretty good and very happy with it.

now to try and find the leather interior :D

Been meaning to get something like that sorted on my car, like the look. If you want door cards, have a word with PaulK, he owns my old Turbo Weasel. That's got leather door trims which were converted off a Calibra's cream leather interior.

I have about as much upholstery experience and ability as your average garden slug, and I found it very easy, really. A nice process to do. My top tip, use the serrated screws as found in Rover door cards, one trip to the scrappy sorted me out with a dozen. (these are perfect for refitting the wood trim)
