I love that the charger looks like an accessory for a Spectrum ;D

.. and, naturally, if you wobble it while it's plugged in... ::)

Is there a difference? :D

I've always quite fancied a V8 Cerbera. 8)

Both are a good antidote to "modern" cars. :y

I think TVRs rust more .. if that's even possible ;D Still basically a kit car you've paid someone else to assemble. In fact, peel the skin of a Cerb/Griff or a Gardner Douglas (Cobra) and the chassis will look awfully similar..

Trouble is (last time I looked, anyway) the "desirable" Griffs & Cerbs are starting to command strong money now. Cheaper than a Cobra replica, though.

That's a plus, more than happy to strip down and repair corrosion for a reduced sale tag  :y

:y On the bright side, it's fairly easy to remove the body from a TVR and after that it's all just tube steel..

Yep, not sure if you can still get "project" cerbs for sensible money but I know a few guys who did that, mainly to carry on touring with the kit car boys after they'd had kids. The plan worked very well. They can pretty much keep up on the twisty bits, too, and when they fail, boy can the reel you in on the straight bits. ;)

The problem is, put a kit car in the hands of someone who understands them and it'll last forever. In the hands of someone who treats it as a production car, however...

Hence TVRs tend to get issues. ::)

I reckon one of these would make a lovely alternative to a TVR for touring - http://www.gdcars.com/cars/t70-moda/

At least the 1.3 doesn't have enough power to challenge the suspension. Unlike the 1.8 which, while still shit, does.
