Omega pranged on the M25 this morning
« on: 17 May 2017, 18:58:21 »

Saw what "was" a decent Rubens Red saloon which had been involved in a shunt around 6-30am on the clockwise side of the M25.

Not far out of the Bell Common tunnel heading towards the M11 junction & Dartford.

Looked like a CDX from the wheels , nasty damage to front & slightly less to the rear. But looked in a sorry state  :'( :'( :'(

Hopefully no one on here

That will be another one gone then unless the owner is like me and prepared to fight the insurance company and also put hard cash down. From what I have learnt recently that sounds from what you say like £4,000+ of damage. Shame :'( :'(

Yup, Same here. After 12 months of fighting we 'decided' on the sweet FA settlement from my prang. Any owner even 1% less bothered about their Omega than I am, or any damage more serious than a broken door mirror and that car's baked bean tins tomorrow.  :'(

Again hopefully no-one on here.

RIP  :(

some years ago a td that I had from it being 2yr old. had it for 10yrs + and maintained it . I decided to put all new suspension on the front plus steering components ( it had just passed a mot so didn't have to do it. I thought it seemed not as good suspension wise as it was when I first acquired it ) I was taking it for a wheel alignment when a car trying to get out of a side street before oncoming traffic beat her. I was stationary & was pranged from behind by a merc. it was her hubby,s motor & it turned out there was a problem with her insurance. my insurance quoted me between £ 70 to £ 90. was I sick

I guess it's just simple economics from the insurance company perspective......

I can see that in a few years time when I'm walking around Billing or the like & see a minter then I'll get a pang of guilt re the several Omega's that I'd killed off Over the years .....
