Nor is there any need for a large memory card, as you're only ever going to be interested in the last 5minutes or so.

You need more than that for a good YouTube channel you can monetise, you know..  :D

I keep thinking about getting one after being punted up the arse in a car park.. but I've been saying that for a year so the chances of me getting around to it before I actually need one are probably slim!

I'll buy one the day after I needed it, of course..

I had two near misses yesterday in the space of two miles so I think now is the time  ;)

One was a Q7 going across my bows at about 50mph while I was on a mini roundabout, I don`t think he even knew it was there, he missed me by about a foot after I slammed the anchors on  >:(

I think it would have hurt even though he was coming from the passenger side and Nemo`s aren`t the most heavily built vehicles.

I wonder how long before cars are factory fitted with cameras, so these cameras become obsolete like sat navs have become?  ???

I like those though and I guess they're kinda fit and forget.......  unless you need them?  ::)
I think portable sat navs have become obsolete because google maps is better than most of them...and updates almost instantly.....free of charge.

That's true also Uncle STEMO and that is what I use these days.  :y

Trouble is my little Garmin used to fit snugly over the fuel gauge on the Omega, so I didn't have a big black oblong obstructing my view in the windscreen!  ::)

I've got the G5WA dual dashcam and must say I'm very pleased with it. Has already helped in two different collisions on the motorway (front & rear) proving I was not at fault. Both cam's are 170 degree view angle and full hd. When watching the footage on the computer the picture and sound quality are great! Easy to install and can take quite a large micro sd card.

Nextbase 312GW for me. Mine are hardwired, separate cams for front and rear. Comes on when you start the car, so fit and forget, but it's there if needed :y

I have a roadhawk, hardwired, infront of rearview mirror,as James said there if needed,...

In works vehicles we have front, and side, all real-time to office, with full telemetry.

I`m quite impressed with the DDpai, easy to use, good app for your phone and the picture quality can be changed, default is 720p and can go to 1080p  :y

Yup, I like mine very much. The snapshot button is a useful extra feature. I didn't see much (any) difference upping the quality to 1080 so left it at 720

I only had a look this morning when I`d got to work, quality looked ok on the phone so I`ll leave it at 720. Not tried the snap shot button yet, I don`t think I`ll be fitting that to the car though, just the camera  :y

I stuck it to the inside of the door pocket as its bob-all use for anything else. I've not used it yet, except to test it, but as my card only supports about 1.5hrs of video I thought it might be useful for snapping something interesting.
