GEAR STICK REMOVAL
« on: 17 September 2017, 18:20:05 »

Hi all, is it possible to remove the entire gear stick from inside the car, or do you need to disconnect any parts from under the car as well. The reverse lift collar under the gear knob has split due to heat during the summer months and i have a replacement stick to fit.

You need to get under the car to unscrew the 4 screws that attach its base to the gear change extension - see the recent thread.

This pic of the gear lever base shows the cover below the gear lever which conceals the 4 screws.

This cabin shot shows the screws and the curved plates.
