TECH II near Gpasgow Scotland
« on: 25 October 2017, 13:44:25 »

Is there anybody who lives near to Glasgow (Paisley would be better still) that has a TECHII. I keep getting the car with spanner light coming on and car revving to 4000 RPM. Turn off car leave for a few minutes, start back up and runs normal no light.  Need codes read.

As suggested am going to check throttle body, also has been suggested could be cam sensor.  It is a 2001 2.2 petrol.

Thanks
Adrian

Try the pedal trick as a starting point :y

Hi thanks for replying.  Tried pedal trick didn't work >:(  Managed to blag a ask no questions on here reader ::).  It came back with 2 codes

1..P1700 - SVS request via CAN (00) - Not present

2..P0340 - Camshaft Sensor Incorrect Signal (08) - Not present

Does Not Present mean no longer there, or that the problem is not showing at present?  What do the numbers mean in brackets (ie 08)? I cleared the codes and will be putting in a Camshaft sensor. Hopefully will sort all problems.  When I looked for the first code online it said it was something to do with the gearbox.  The person I bought it off has had work done on the box including flushing, filters and new fluid, bills to show all work done.  Could it just be a old code that wasn't wiped?

Thanks again

Hi Grifter

Sorry for not replying sooner.  It wasn't me sorry who you spoke too. I live next to St Mirren FC. The wife has a 1995 2Ltr Estate in Green, I am now a owner of a FL blue 2.2Ltr.

I saw a silver saloon the other day on Barskiven Road going towards Asda from Ferguslie Park, the driver was a lady.  Will keep a look out for you.  Nice to see a few up this end of the Country.

Hi Addy

I spoke to a polish guy with a silver one, seemed a bit of a bucket tbh. Also seen one parked at linwood business park. I did see a green early estate on M8 couple of months ago, 2 guys in it. I do see a blue one parked outside gilmour st station occassionally, not sure if that's yours, or is the one that sits up my way?

I think we need a spotted thread for paisley lol
