I know hes a bit of a Marmite character for some, but can anyone deny now, that he is one of the all time greats ?
His driving this season has been flawless, and even Vettel driving into his rear tyre yesterday to try and take him out of the race didn't stop him winning his fourth Championship.
My own personal opinion is that he is in the top three drivers that I have seen, which means of the last 40 years or so.

I think Vettels driving can be a bit flaky but i think he just misjudged it. Not deliberate.

Most telling for me was Bottas ( who I only ever rated as a competent no 2) said he has been surprised at Hamiltons dedication. I took that to be Bottas is not dedicated.

Hamilton overtake on Alonso was a fine spectacle on both their parts. Anyone remember how shocked folk were when Hamilton made the move from Mclaren to Mercedes. Good call. Alonso

I think Vettel knew exactly what he was doing. Hamilton left him plenty of room, but he moved right over to the left, and this allowed Bottas to easily just drive past him on the inside.
The replay also showed him making a quick little flick of the steering wheel to the left, which was when he hit Hamilton.
He did it with little finesse though and ended up taking half his own front wing off in the process.
Hamilton and Alonso racing wheel to wheel showed how really great drivers do it. Very hard, but completely fair.
Vettel doesn't understand the concept of fair. He is arrogant, petulant and spoilt. That and the fact he cracks under pressure, is why he will never be great, no matter how quick he is imo.
With a little more experience, Verstappen is going to be something to behold. He may well be the reason Hamilton never equals Schumachers record.
Alonso - I have the impression he is an arsehole of a character outside the car and away from the media, and while the top three teams have drivers who can win in their cars, then the aren't going to be interested in working with him. He has taken his career up a blind alley, and its hard to see it coming back, unless McLaren build a winning car.
I will be surprised if they do though, as the only person to win a title in a McLaren in almost 20 years was Hamilton. I think they are heading the same way as Williams. Perennial midfield runners.

Bottas and Kimi seem to be cut from the same cloth.

Neither seem particularly 'driven' (excuse the pun) and I get that feeling that both would rather be enjoying a beer whilst balancing a 20 year old scandinavian girl on their cocks.

Good race from Brazil. I wondered if Hamilton could motivate himself after starting in the pit lane. I need not have worried. Shame we didn't see him and Vettel wheel to wheel. Bottas seemed to just settle for second having been jumped by Vettel.

If Hamiltons tyres had been more durable he might have actually been able to battle for the lead before the race finished.
It was a great drive though.

There's no doubt he's the best driver on the grid. The guys completely unlikable though. IMO of course. I went to the f1 race this year for the first ever time (was awesome day out) and if you could see what I saw you'd have to agree Hamilton is the best. He destroyed everyone. Yes the reds did have issues at the end but even before that he'd destroyed them.

I find him getting SPOTY quite ironic as surely you have to have a personality to get that 🤔🤔😁😁😂😂😂😂😂

I actually like him, although I know quite a few don't. Considering his position and wealth I think hes reasonably humble, and has very strong sporting ethics. He doesn't just want to win, he wants to win the right way.
The level of his talent, I find staggering. Definitely in my all time top three.

As a driver definitely,I find him a bit petulant at times though he seems to be improving in that respect

I have a theory that he is having his adolescence 15 years later than normal. Until a few years ago he and his Dad were joined at the hip. His Dad arranged every minute of his life to help get him where he is, and did a great job too.
This probably stunted his development to a degree, and since deciding to become his own man, he has things to learn that ordinary mortals would have learned a lot earlier in life.
I'm sure he is basically a really decent person though, and I have great admiration for his sporting ethics. Especially in comparison to Vettel and even Rosberg.
He also had the good judgement not to get tied up long term to Shallow Shitsinger, or whatever her name is.
