Fault Code 2106
« on: 02 November 2017, 16:20:44 »

Ive the Following Codes, spanner light on.
0650
2106
1612

3.2, been stood for a while, new battery, fired up first time, no issues, then after a min or 2 starts to stutter, initial thoughts was missfire, restarted, fine then stutter again, go to pull away drops revs, almost like fuel starvation.

Peddle tricked for codes, I think the 0650 may be one of the bulbs is out (airbag?), googled code 2106, comming back as generic, Throttle / Peddle Sender? Is this the case for Omega?

Car now wont start, it does but ticks over low then stalls, any effort on the throttle stalls striaght away. Going to consetrate on this fault first but where to start???, help pleasd.

Code 1612 could be a red herring as batt now low (no flashing Spanner).

Ok thanks, so what to look for?, plugs / connectors around peddle and TB's, anything else, any part testing I can do?

Anyone had this before, and what was the outcome?

Ta.

Would it be worth swapping over the TB's for a known good one, 3.2 and 2.6 are they the same?

Nothing to do with TB. Its TCM. Is it an auto?

No 3.2 Manual,
Well that's your problem. Find a local Tech2, and set ECU config back to manual :)

I take it you mean Engine ECU, if so thought they were Auto / Manual from a High / Low (Loom) pin on the ECU

Yes, Engine ECU, ie ECM.

Not sure that's the case on the CAN ones. I'd bow to your expertise on that one TBH, regarding the loom mod.

But U2106 is basically it hasn't spoken to the TCM for a few seconds (and presumably it was expecting to).

So, if I borrow ECU (Ring & Trans' Chip) from another Manual that should prove the fault ?

Edit:, actually not too sure about the Loom High Low thing on the 3.2, I know it was the case on the 2.5 and 3.0, so yea, maybe a ECO config, problem is I seem to have gone brain dead today, memory's been erased  :-[
