It is a 2016 model year XF diesel......

Nice choice  :y

My budget could see 2010/11 XF-S

Did you get one in correct cylinder arrangement  :)

3.0 diesel is way to pricey to run with my annual mileage so its a 4 pot 2.0 163bhp (but still 0-60 in 8,2 seconds so not to shabby).

The 2016 model year is 200kg lighter than the earlier version with longer wheel base (same body length) and different rear suspension system, so the reduced power is not that noticeable.
Same engine size as my astra and about the same bhp. Mine is marginally slower to 60 but, then again, I never though I’d be comparing it to a jag. ;D

This one is black which are apparently faster.........it also has a gearbox for the infirm  :( :-\
As does mine, but I’m a bit older than you.  :P

Agreed. My car weighs 1880KG according to the book but the engine means it can keep up with the general flow of traffic.

Also, unless the driver is a real shortarse there is very little rear leg room in the older car. Your car will be better in this respect.

Nice choice. :y

We are not at home to Mr Rude......Being a scouser I expect you'll 'go on the rob' once you find out where he keeps it. :P :P :P

A Jaguar XF is a 'nice choice' I was being diplomatic about the engine. :)

Unfortunately, the Xf estate isn't available without the canal boat engine choices :'(

Be a nice upgrade from the Zafira nonetheless  8)

Indeed they are. But I hope yours drives straighter than my black kitty, as coming home tonight, mine spent most of its time going sideways.

In the end, I turned TC back on, back out of sport, and back into auto, as it was getting a bit tedious.

Fuel Computer reading 32mpg over this tank, so suspect I'll achieve 28mpg in reality. The 275bhp variant of the 3.0 v6 diesel does like making its way through Lord Opti's favourite fuel  :-[

I saw one of these today....I thought....blimey why would jag make a car with a 2.0l diesel (excluding the Mondeo based jag)....and who would buy one  :o ::) ;D

My customer has one of these - in that config, it flies!

We regularly do the Limerick to Cork run, no real dual carriageway to speak of - so I’m also impressed with the brakes, get used more than they would if I were driving - to be sure  ::)

So regularly your learning the language.  ;D ;D

That's very impressive, my Mondeo Mk5 2.0l petrol Ecoboost takes 8.0 secs to 62, with considerably more power at 240PS. :y

/nosey mode.

Given your miles, have you bought this cash or say part cash/normal loan?

Without car share my miles are 15k/yr for work, around 8k with. (Meaning 3.2 is viable)

On finance deals say via BMW for £200/m some nice motors can be had, with say 8k down.

But that’s at 10k miles, soon as you go 12k it gets much more expensive on finance.

Half and half, half cash and half standard bank loan (so mileage is irrelevant).

Not seen a dealer finance deal that's worth considering, they are usually long term (5 years) and 9+% APR
