I hope they never need one
« on: 11 November 2017, 16:07:11 »

An ambulance attending a critically ill person in Small Heath,Birmingham had a note left on it's windscreen saying "I know you're saving lives but don't park your van in a stupid place blocking my drive" Absolutely unbelievable, how selfish and moronic can people get? I think this person deserves a good slapping :-X

Leaving the note was out of order, but people do tend to get caught up in their own bubbles... that person might have needed to rush off due to a family emergency... say for example, that you suddenly received a call from your parents to say that one had had a fall and was on their way to hospital. You go rushing out of the house, only to find that you can't go anywhere because there's an ambulance in the way.

Your rational side would be that they won't be there long and that the person attended to was ok, they're a neighbour after all, but your initial response will probably be FFS ::)

I think if the person who was blocked in needed to get out due to an emergency, then they would have gone and found the crew rather than leaving a note.  ;)

Possibly, but equally they might not have wanted to bother them if on the middle of a response :-\
