End result? It had to be" humanely destroyed. " Couldn't they have darted it with a tranquiliser?

The irony? Well in Spain there is a wild natural population that is increasing due to years of conservation and care.

We now have a severe risk averse officialdom. The Lynx was deemed to be a severe risk to the public, so . . .

A couple of years ago an escaped cow was shot, this was also in Wales.

Recently it came to light but seem to be kept fairly low key, that in the immediate aftermath of the Manchester Arena bombing, paramedics were not allowed into the building for quite some time until an assessment had been carried out about the likelihood of further risk. It was said to be up to an hour during which time people died of their injuries.

If one person is stupid/selfish enough to blow themselves up in a crowded place, what's to say that there wasn't an equally stupid person with them

I would be very surprised if paramedics are trained for conflict work...

I seem to recall reading many years ago[before suicide bombing became "popular"-for want of a better word- I think it had to do with the IRA]that perpetrators would trigger a small bomb or something and wait until the emergency services turned up before triggering a bigger device in order to take out those self same emergency services.So yes some circumspection has to be exercised in such circumstances.Causes unfortunate and sometimes fatal delays but could save more lives than it loses.
