The waterpump will potentially cause it to foam... :-\

Also, draining the header tank is a moot point as it will be already be blended with the coolant.

To be sure, flush and replace the coolant... it is a service item afterall... ::) also might not be chemically compatible with an engine that is probably aluminium.

Coolant is liquid, liquid goes in the header tank, good enough for me.

its a rover200 so I am guessing removing a hose from the thermostat housing as the engine hasn't turned over she should get away with it as none will be in the block . I do know said motor has recently had a new head gasket thermostat + housing, water pump & timing belt done by rover trained mechanic.

What's she put in where?

The title says screen wash & the thread says coolant. She should be more concerned with why the header tank is low .... she's loosing coolant .... where from?  🤔

Well, the alcohol component in the screenwash will boil off leaving water and a few surfactants. Can't see it doing any harm once it's been diluted with the rest of the coolant, TBH.

its a rover200...

Leave it until the next routine head gasket change. ;)

I don't think it's safe to be on the road. Nothing to do with the coolant, just because it's a Rover.  ::)
