drivers door mechanism

Hi, Not sure if this is electrical problem, but drivers door keeps opening
when driving especially round corners roundabouts and bends.
Have oiled it but still keeps on. Any ideas or a part for it. omega 2.2 auto 2003.
Have rang many breakers and dealers.

as per all the other threads & replies you've had for the same fault ..... just replace the latch mechanism

I had the exact thing happen with my 1999 Omega a few years ago. I also tried oil, grease on the mechanism but the problem kept occurring.

It was quite frightening and extremely dangerous (oncoming traffic etc) :o

In the end I bought a new mechanism from my local Vauxhall dealer and this cured the problem.

If you are handy with the spanners etc it is a relatively simple swap.

Thanks for your reply, yes really scary when door suddenly swings open. Have tried vauxhall dealers and they dont do them any more. Have rang various dealers and cant seem to get one. Will keep trying.
