Wishbones - which way is up!?
« on: 18 June 2009, 10:57:33 »

Mornin,

No, not which way up does the wishbone go, (I'm not that thick - though I try) but which way up should you have the bolts. I've always been taught to have the bolt put in from the top, so if the nut comes off, there's still the bolt there to hold it all in place. Am I correct for the OhMega?

The reason I ask is i've gone both on my front wishbones! Nearside is nut at the top, offside the nuts at the bottom!

Bolt in from the top on the rear one and the front on the front one.

Also be aware that the bolts are 2 different lengths with the long one going at the front.  :y

Many thanks boys! Like i said, thought it should be from the top, but the fact that both sides were different kind of befuddled me.

My apologies to any moderators, as Ive just seen this is in general chat, rather than help request - must have clicked on the wrong one.

I shall blame oil-soaked fingers-on keyboard  ;)
