reading the VIN plate

can some one please update the thread in omega common issues and FAQ as the image is missing/removed as i would like tyo decipher my VIN number, cheers

according to that my car is an mv6

but its an elite???

mine is correct r plate cd estate

Opel Vozidlo bez zvláštní úpravy Omega Omega B Omega B Caravan, CD 1998 Rüsselsheim 205360
 
perhaps some of the other members could check and see if theirs are right.

Current Elite shows as an MV6
Old Reflection shows as a GL

My T reg 99 GLS Estate shows as a 1998 GL!
(Omega B Caravan, GL      1998      Rüsselsheim      280308)

My S reg ('99) Elite saloon shows as:
Omega B 4 dve[ch345]e, MV6      1999      Rüsselsheim      027336

My old S reg ('99) Elite saloon similarly shows as:
Omega B 4 dve[ch345]e, MV6      1999      Rüsselsheim      020865

My P reg ('96) CDX saloon shows as:
1997      Rüsselsheim      002192.
but with No model info!

clear as mud all that, but maybe useful to ya :y

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!
