Haven't used the Merc for about 3 weeks, so as the sun was out here this afternoon, opened the garage & took it for a 30 mile spin just superb is the only way to describe it starts on the button every time, and always makes me smile.😀

Thanks to Hilper / Admin, another task carried out with help from the maintenance guides - this time removing the door card on a facelift Omega..... never done one before, but had on a mini-facelift many years ago.

Quote
The horizontal, plastic locating strip running along the top of the card often partly breaks off.

So true, and now repaired ready for fitting back on. Where would we be without these guides? A great help and another thank you.

Investigated why the rear offside tyre had deflated over Christmas, with the MOT due in a couple of weeks. Crack in the alloy wheel. @rse!

Off to the "parts for sale/wanted" section... ::)
Opps, welcome to my world.  I have spent over £400 in tyres and had to have a new wheel and WIM treatment in the last 2 months, following the state of the roads :(

I have a set of late Elite wheels here, but don't think any of the tyres are MOT worthy.  But if anything here helps you with the MOT, just shout.

Changed the headlights on the Terracan from grubby yellow to clear. For an outlay of less than 45mins and £10 I'm very pleased with the results!  :y

Swapped tyres front to rear on 3.2, given it a good check over, top up of fluids, visual check of everything. As it will be a couple of months with no DIY, while I have building work.

Changed the nearside disc and pads on the Mondeo.  ::)

Took ages as the disc took a while to get off and the guide pins were seized as well, so freed, cleaned and greased those as well.

Do t'other side tomorrow.  ::)
