Wishbones
« on: 24 September 2006, 21:47:28 »

Hi, where can I get some decent wishbones from apart from vauxhall (gather they havent put them back in the trade club) or would I be better getting the bushes and ball joints from vauxhall and referbing my old wishbones? Put a new pair on 6 months ago (Moog- Federal Mogal) and the front bushes are shot  :o

No, did them acording to TIS. Seem to remember seeing a few peeps have probs with after market wishbones  ie the front bush no where near as good as originals and some said theirs had gone at approx 6 months. There just seems to be too much play in them. Today I compaired them to an vauxhall wishbone on my old mega i fitted 18 months ago they do seem to be.

Well the ball joints shoudl be fine....its the bushes that would need renewing.

Do you have access to a press (about 8 ton)
