AR35 INSTEAD OF AR25? SAME ECU???

Can i use the AR35 BOX instead of the AR25? Do i have to change the Torque Convertor and the ECU???

Torque converter needs changing, ECU does not.....there was a change in electrical connector around 97/98 so watch for that one to.

It doesn't say which car you drive, so here are the options:

There are two Ecu's on the car. One for the engine and another for the gearbox. You don't change either. The original torque convertor should always be used where possible as this is the right one for the engine, ie the one you already have. If that is damaged then you must source an identical one. For example, you have a 2.0 auto you must use a torque convertor from another 2.0 auto - not a 3.0 v6!

AR25 to be replaced by AR35. Ok, if you have a 2.5, 2.6, 3.0 or 3.2 the gearbox is a straight swap (but using your own torque convertor). If you have a 2.5TD the old AR25 bellhousing must be used on the new AR35 box. I am not sure about the 2.0 bellhousing, but suspect the same rules will apply as the TD.
