"Check" light and CD playback problems
« on: 28 May 2007, 23:02:08 »

Hi everyone,

First: how do I get rid of a fault 'check' illuminated on the dot matrix display, telling me to replace a bulb, which has been done? Laiback 66 told why but I'd like to know how to cancel this out.

Second: my CD player no longer plays the CDs in slots 1-3 at the correct speed, whereas slot 4 plays OK. What's going on here?!

Best

Charlie

The 'check' should go out when the bulb is replaced...

If it didn't, try another bulb (sometimes a bulb is working but has the wring resistance so does not pass the diagnostic test), and check for other blown bulbs - there may have been more than one. Don't forget there are also bulbs inside the boot lid...

Hi Charles. :)

The problem is not the bulb, if it is the "headlight/tailight fld vision" error code we spoke of.

That will be one of the 2 HID self levelling sensors.
Has anyone (Markjay? ;)) got pics showing the location of the sensors please?
