after doing an auto to manual box change,it comes up on the display as"automatic gearbox fault" does anyone know how to get rid of this,thanks :y

one of the knowledgeable ones will be along to advise, there is a fix that will stop this message from appearing

There's another thread somewhere about this ... and if I remember you have to short out 2 pins to make it think its in neutral ....  

but which ones I don't know ....  :(

reconfig display with tech2 (ideally), or hardwire the mid to say g/box ok.

I dont much about these MID's, but I do know that if you put a Autobox Configured MID into a Manual (which is in a round about way is what you have done) they do work, with the exception of the Range display which just shows Range 0 or F.

If its coming up Gearbox Fault ??, is some senors missing between Auto and the Manual box, either way like The Boy say's your still need it Tech 2'd to get it to work fully, or fit one from the same Engine / Box.

There is a single wire to the MID from the autobox....it needs grounding (from memory) or the MID re-programming to manual.
