How much for a spare blade to be cut

Only got the 1 key when i got my 2001 elite was lucky as i won one on e-bay from a 2000 elite had it reprogrammed so the blipper locks/unlocks mine. What price is the average if there is such a thing to get a new horseshoe blade and to get it cut . Local vx dealer wants £95 + vat and thats just for the blade not the blipper as well, and do halfords do it anyone know.

HOW MUCH?  :o  :o  :o That used to be about the price for the whole thing ... Tech II'd up too.
SWMBO's Astra's key blade was £27 from a very nice man at a dealer at Ellesmere Port!

Blade under a tenner on ebay, make sure you get the right one lol Cost me £2 to have Timpsons cut mine...

i know robbing Barstewards they are but they only charged me a tenner + vat to reprogramme new blipper, maybe he thought i was gonna order new blade as well from him hence cheapo programme lol

I got one for under 30 quid from a main dealer a couple of years back... (blade + transponder chip only). Blanks are often available on Ebay for a tenner or so. Make sure they include the chip.

EDIT: irrelevant drivel removed. ::)

Regarding pairing to the car one of us with a Tech 2 can sort that side out.  We can also remove any old keys that are still programmed-in.
