I think the 3.0 cams in the 2.6 produce just under 200bhp, Mikes 2.6 produced 194 with a blocked exhaust centre section.

I think mine is in that region as well

Considering the option for 4 G cams over 2 A and 2 G cams.....I see little if zero gain for having G cams on the exhaust as they offer the same lift as the A's with the same duration but a steeper opening ramp. This when you consider that gains with cams on the exhaust are minimal due to the method of gas removal from the chamber etc.

4G's will also double your cost as no engine was ever fitted with 4 from the factory so your looking at needing bits from 2 engines!.

You will also need the 3.0 inlet divider....and if ging the whole hog, opening the ports out on the head gives an improved inlet track (but requires head removal).

Looking at these posts then, can I take it that you can use these cams in the 2.5, is it the same as the vectra engine in the Omega? no other changes.

Will the 3.0 heads with cams fit on the 2.5 block?

The 3.0 heads are not benefitial as they have larger combustion bowls and will lower the compression ratio of the engine.

The 3.0 cams will fit in the 2.5 heads and give a good 20bhp increase

hmm I was told that it all stays the same, rear axle and propshaft for sure were the same. Correct me if I'm wrong 'cause I'm about to do that upgrade next week hopefully  that mean to change the lump and keep the rest as it is

Yes you do - how else can you get the power to the correct end?
