Facelift Rear Wheel Bearing
« on: 05 July 2011, 16:45:18 »

Rear n/s wheel  bearing on my facelift estate has quite a bit of wobble in it when off the ground and tested in the six o' clock position. I have access to a fully equipped ( non franchise) garage with a 100 ton press etc. and intend to do this myself with a little bit of assistance from experienced mechanic.

My questions are as follows:

Apart from the bearing, what else will I need, or be likely to damage in getting the old one out? The job is likely to be done on a Saturday or Sunday so I would like to have all that I may need available on a sale or return basis.

I  have looked to see if there is a "how to" guide but have not found one. Am I missing it somehow?

I have picked up the advice that it can be  much easier to remove the suspension arm complete and take it to the press.

Your input and advice and experiences would be  most welcome.
